All-Star shortstop Jacob Wilson and the A’s reached an settlement on a seven-year extension that features a club choice for a possible eighth yr, the team announced on Friday.

Wilson, 23, is coming off a stellar rookie season the place he put up a slash line of .311/.355/.444 with 26 doubles and 13 dwelling runs.
Wilson’s .311 batting common was tied for second in the American League with Bo Bichette, trailing just Aaron Judge (.331).
