Pop star Katy Perry has left fans reeling after unveiling a darkish and grungy new look to promote her upcoming single Band-Aids.

On Tuesday, November 4, the 41-year-old pop star shared an eerie picture on social media exhibiting her face lined in scratches and bruises. In the image, Perry’s top lip seems break up, and her eyes look chilly and clean.

Many fans speculated that the faux accidents had been symbolic of her heartbreak following her breakup with longtime associate Orlando Bloom in June 2025, after almost 9 years together.

The release comes just months after Perry and Bloom formally ended their relationship in early July. The pair share a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

Since the break up, Perry has also been in the headlines for her rumored new romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The pair had been not too long ago noticed holding palms in Paris and kissing aboard a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara.

Her last album, 143, launched in September 2024, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 however obtained combined reviews. On Instagram, Perry confirmed she’s “touring and releasing new music,” sharing a uncommon photograph of her daughter, Daisy.

A source told Us Weekly last month that Perry is “really into” Trudeau, including, “Katy is really into it. She’s very happy. She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”

The insider continued, “Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn’t met a lot of her friends yet.”

Over the summer season, Perry and Bloom’s representatives told DailyMail.com that “Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”

Another insider said to the same outlet at the time, “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” emphasizing that the breakup was not “contentious.”

The Woman’s World singer was beforehand married to comic Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, while Bloom shares a 14-year-old son, Flynn, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.
