The second deadline set by Nancy Guthrie’s purported ransomers has handed.

Multiple media retailers have reported receiving alleged ransom notes in reference to the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy in Arizona. The media retailers handed the ransom notes over to authorities, who’ve acknowledged they’re working to confirm them and are also investigating them critically.

The notes reportedly contained calls for for cash with an preliminary deadline set on Thursday (February 5) night, and a second one on Monday (February 9), each at 5pm local time. Authorities have previously said that any decision on paying the ransom demands is made by the family. One of the notes demanded millions in Bitcoin. They also stated they have made an arrest after determining that text messages with ransom demands sent to the family were sent by an impostor kidnapper.

Savannah recently made a post on Instagram on February 9 as she pleaded for her mother’s return, confirmed her mother was taken, and asked for help in finding her.

“Hi there, everyone. I wished to return on and just share a few ideas as we enter into another week of this nightmare. I just need to say first of all thanks a lot for all of the prayers and the love that now we have felt my sister, my brother and I. And that our mother has felt because we imagine that one way or the other, someway she is feeling these prayers and that God is lifting her even in this darkest place,” she began.

“We imagine our mother is still out there. We want your assist. Law enforcement is working tirelessly making an attempt to convey her dwelling, looking for her. She was taken and we do not know the place, and we want your assist. So, I’m approaching just to ask you, for not just your prayers, irrespective of the place you might be, even if you happen to’re removed from Tucson, if you happen to see something, hear something, if there’s something in any respect that appears unusual to you that you report to regulation enforcement. We are at an hour of desperation and we want your assist,” the 54-year-old journalist said.

Nancy has been missing since she was reported missing on February 1, following a churchgoer contacting the family about her being absent from Sunday service. She was last seen the day before, when she went to dinner at a family member’s home. Investigators have said they believe Nancy was taken from her home against her will.

The Pima Sheriff Department disclosed that investigators have not yet “recognized any suspects, individuals of curiosity, or automobiles related to this case.”
