Keith Urban took the stage during the opening quantity at the 2025 Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday evening and carried out a rendition of his 199 hit Where the Blacktop Ends.
The Australian nation music star joined host and nominee Lainey Wilson during the musical medley, which featured hits from Gretchen Wilson, Ella Langley, and Shaboozey.
Keith lately stirred up controversy after performing at a celebration hosted by billionaire Anthony Pratt on November 15, which was hosted at Donald Trump‘s Florida compound, Mar-a-Lago. The president was in attendance as the 58-year-old performer sang a canopy of Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club.
Fans weren’t happy with the singer after his MAGA live performance, particularly since he carried out a canopy of the LGBTQ anthem, which was captured on video and has been circulating on social media.
The backlash comes after he and Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman announced that they’re headed towards divorce after 19 years of marriage.
