Honey Boo Boo’s mom, June “Mama June” Shannon, is reportedly grappling with a mysterious health condition that might probably “immobilize” her.

“Some days are a struggle for me, but it’s nothing like [cancer],” Mama June acknowledged. “I tell people, ‘We know it’s not ever gonna kill me, but it could immobilize me.'” Despite Mama June’s health challenges remaining unclear, the well-known momager maintains a constructive and hopeful outlook.

In 2016, she underwent gastric sleeve surgical procedure for weight loss. However, in 2024, she revealed that she had regained 130 kilos.

That same yr, she shared with Page Six that she shed 30 kilos in just two months after beginning weight-loss medication. A yr later, she skilled a health scare in July 2025 after being rushed to the hospital following a psychic’s warning of a “heart attack” during filming of Mama June: Family Crisis.
