Does Stevie Wonder have a new album on the means?
According to the Instagram account @StevieWonderLegacy (which isn’t Wonder’s official profile), he does. They wrote:
More than 20 years after “A Time to Love,” Stevie Wonder says a new album is coming in 2027. The title has been circulating for years. “Through the Eyes of Wonder” has surfaced, disappeared, been reshaped, then talked about again. At some point it stopped feeling like a report and began to really feel like a rumor. Now it lastly has a horizon.
Part of the pull comes from what is perhaps inside. Early studies recommend unreleased materials from the Songs in the Key of Life interval, which complicates the thought of a “new” Stevie Wonder album. This isn’t just a late-career assertion. It’s probably a splice between eras, between a artistic peak that still defines the style and a gift that has largely unfolded off report.
After Characters (1987), the releases thinned out. Not a collapse, more a withdrawal. Fewer albums, longer gaps, a shift away from the studio as the main area of expression. The catalog froze in time while the status stored increasing. That’s what makes this different. Not the chance of another hit, not even the thought of a comeback. Just the fact that he’s selecting to add one thing new to a physique of labor that has, for a very long time, felt full.
