Josh Downs requests trade from reeling Colts…
At the end of the day, Josh Downs didn’t flip it down.
When requested by the media if he requested a trade Wednesday, the huge receiver said he’s “open to whatever.”
“Whatever comes my way comes my way. We go from there,” he said.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that Downs requested a trade from the Colts, who’re off to a 2-5 start this season and fired normal supervisor Chris Ballard last week.
The 25-year-old has reportedly discovered trade curiosity from a number of groups, Fowler added.
A reporter requested Downs how he compartmentalizes his title being in trade rumors while specializing in what he has to do on a day-to-day foundation in Indianapolis.
“Just go day by day. I’m here right now. I’m where my feet are,” he said. “We got the Jags this weekend. I’m in the game plan so I gotta be ready to go.”
Downs, a North Carolina product, has been with the Colts since he was chosen in the third round (79th general) in the 2023 draft.
Much like his team, he has not prodcued high quality numbers this season.

Despite being considered one of Daniel Jones’ top targets, Downs has not recorded a landing across his 26 receptions for 307 yards in 5 begins.
He tallied a career-high 5 scores in 2024 and 4 touchdowns in ’25.
The Colts are already the top sellers ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline, however Downs isn’t their most useful commodity.
Three-time Pro Bowler Jonathan Taylor is their top promoting piece and is reported to have garnered curiosity from the Packers, Seahawks, Broncos and Vikings.
On Tuesday, the Colts dealt eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle and Pro Bowl defensive sort out DeForest Buckner to the 49ers to collect draft picks — a 2027 third-rounder and fourth-rounder and a 2028 fifth-round decide.
Taylor’s spouse, Ayanna, weighed in after the strikes in another TikTok video the place she requested, “Should I start packing?!”
Similar to this 12 months’s draft, the Colts wouldn’t have a first-round draft decide in 2027 as a result of Ballard buying Sauce Gardner from the Jets.
Ballard was fired earlier this month after the Colts misplaced to a then-winless Titans.

“I mean, you think about your future anyways,” Downs said when requested if he thinks more about his future when his title is in trade conversations. “It’s not really something that’s different but I feel like, you know, it is what it is at the end of the day.”
The Colts go to the Jaguars (4-2) on Sunday.
