Wherever she goes, Kate Middleton is assured to seize consideration thanks to her sense of model.
The Princess of Wales, 44, is understood for her elegant style sense and chooses timeless outfits each time she carries out a royal engagement. Indeed, Kate not too long ago wore a basic purple and white polka dot gown, which she paired with an identical purple clutch bag as she joined King Charles at a particular cancer event.
Kate, Charles and Queen Camilla attended a particular event to mark 125 years of Cancer Research UK earlier this month. Kate stole the highlight together with her outfit at the event, with many followers pointing out the similarities to one beforehand worn by her mother-in-law, the late Princess Diana.
Diana was seen carrying purple and white attire on a quantity of events, including in April 1983 when she attended the opening of Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne, Australia.
Nick Ede, model and tradition knowledgeable, urged Kate’s nod to Diana was performed on objective. Speaking completely to The Express US on behalf of Cafe Casino, he shared, “The similarities between Catherine’s dress and one famously worn by Princess Diana are unlikely to be accidental.”

By referencing a much-loved look from her late mother-in-law, she reinforces a sense of continuity, warmth and connection to one of the most beloved figures in modern royal history.”
Nick also said Kate’s gown “projects optimism, confidence and approachability.” He urged, “At an event focused on cancer research, it struck the perfect balance between respect, positivity and relatability.”
Kate’s style is a notable change from that of other royal relations, with the mom-of-three often seen carrying more trendy items of clothes.
Nick told us, “I do think Catherine’s choice reflects the gradual evolution of the royal family under the influence of William and Catherine.

“We’re seeing a transfer away from formality for formality’s sake and in direction of a more relatable, trendy model of management. The Princess understands that today’s public desires authenticity and connection, and her wardrobe more and more displays that.”
Despite Kate’s preference for a more modern wardrobe, the culture expert insisted, “Royal glamour is unquestionably not disappearing. There will always be events for fabulous robes and crowns and grand coats, hats and regal tailoring.”
Nick concluded, “Looking ahead to a future reign under William, I count on we’ll continue to see a monarchy that feels less distant and style is one of the clearest methods Catherine communicates that shift.”
The Cancer Research UK event was shut to Kate’s coronary heart as she was identified with an undisclosed kind of cancer early in 2024, for which she underwent chemotherapy. She revealed she was in remission in January 2025.
