Meghan Markle’s ‘jarring’ demand from first wedding –

Before Meghan Markle grew to become a family identify as the actress who married Prince Harry, she had already walked down the aisle as soon as before.

The Duchess of Sussex exchanged vows with American movie producer Trevor Engelson in August 2011, following an opportunity assembly at a bar when she was just 23 years previous.

Although their marriage resulted in divorce just two years later, their relationship is believed to have been largely harmonious for a number of years.

While few particulars about their romance have emerged publicly, some fascinating points of their wedding ceremony have surfaced over the years, partly resulting from Meghan’s starring position in the hit TV collection Suits.

Despite her comparatively restricted superstar standing at the time, Meghan imposed a slightly demanding requirement on her wedding attendees, a lot to their bewilderment.

In her e book The Palace Papers, royal biographer Tina Brown included a quote from somebody who was current at the 2011 ceremony. According to Brown, the attendee disclosed, “The only jarring note is that Meghan sent out a note requesting ‘no social media, please.’

“We have been all laughing because she had been on Suits for a few months and at that point, we have been like, is she kidding me? She was like, ‘I’m a very big actress’.”

Meghan and Trevor separated in 2013, citing “irreconcilable variations,” with their divorce becoming official the following year. This happened four years before Meghan walked down the aisle again to marry Harry in Windsor, after their rapid romance.

Meghan said goodbye to her Suits career after getting engaged to King Charles’ youngest son.

The couple had been dating for under two years when Harry proposed at their Kensington Palace home, with their wedding ceremony happening less than a year afterward.

While Meghan was welcomed into the royal family with open arms, her time as a working royal proved brief. She and Harry both withdrew from royal responsibilities and moved to Montecito in California in 2020.

On January 13, 2020, a royal meeting occurred at Sandringham to address the situation in what became known as the “Sandringham Summit,” headed by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The discussion included the late monarch, King Charles, Prince William and Harry, though Meghan was conspicuously missing.

Reports at the time indicated that the Sussexes didn’t consider it “crucial for the duchess to hitch.”

Following the “summit,” the Queen released a statement declaring, “Today my household had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his household.

“My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family.

“Although we might have most popular them to stay full-time working members of the royal Family, we respect and perceive their want to live a more unbiased life as a household while remaining a valued a part of my household.”
