Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited a refugee camp and hospital as they kicked off their journey to Jordan.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled to the Middle East on a visit that goals to put the highlight on organizations that assist civilians affected by battle and displacement.
The couple also joined World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus for a roundtable with the WHO’s regional leaders, some of their humanitarian companions, and key donors.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be in a room full of people with such big hearts,” King Charles’ youthful son Harry, 41, told the group.
“I don’t know how many times you get thanked for all the work that you do – probably not enough.”

Since stepping down as working royals and shifting to California in 2020, Harry and Meghan, 44, have prioritized help for tasks that help civilians affected by battle, particularly injured and displaced kids.
Their nonprofit, Archewell Philanthropies, not too long ago supported WHO efforts to evacuate kids from Gaza and deliver them to Jordan for treatment.
The Sussexes met some of those kids on Wednesday at Specialty Hospital in Amman.
They also visited Za’atari Refugee Camp, residence to hundreds of Syrians who stay displaced after more than a decade of battle of their residence nation.
They are scheduled to visit the Amman workplace of World Central Kitchen, which organizes and sends meals and other humanitarian help to Gaza, on Thursday.
The pair, who’re dad and mom to 6-year-old Prince Archie and 4-year-old Princess Lilibet, are longtime supporters of World Central Kitchen, their nonprofit’s first philanthropic associate.

Philip Hall, British Ambassador to Jordan, thanked the Sussexes for travelling to the Middle East, saying, “Your visit, your support, your appreciation of the efforts that the United Nations, including of course, the World Health Organization, the government of Jordan, and others, are making here is enormously appreciated.”
The couple’s last tour was a four-day journey to Colombia in August 2024, during which they visited a college in Bogotá to speak to youngsters about the impression of social media.

Harry and Meghan also spoke at a summit on digital accountability staged partly by their Archewell Foundation.
Earlier that 12 months, the two dad and mom visited Nigeria to mark 10 years of Harry’s Invictus Games.
Their visit comes weeks after Harry’s estranged brother, Prince William, visited Saudi Arabia, the place he met feminine footballers and heard about feminine participation in sport in the Gulf state. William, 43, is the patron of the English Football Association.
Until 2018, women weren’t allowed to attend sports activities occasions in stadiums in Saudi Arabia. Physical training was not launched for ladies until 2017.
