Prince Harry dealt major blow in court case just weeks

Prince Harry’s authorized battle has encountered a big setback after a personal investigator denied ever conducting surveillance actions, contradicting allegations made by one in all the plaintiffs.

Baroness Lawrence, alongside Prince Harry, is among seven people pursuing authorized action against Associated Newspapers Limited – the publishers of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday – over accusations of illegal data gathering.

The allegations embody cellphone hacking and surveillance operations. Baroness Lawrence – mom of murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence – has primarily alleged that non-public investigator Jonathan Rees was compensated by the Daily Mail, which denies all accusations, for “secretly stealing information” about her.

However, Mr Rees has now informed Channel 4’s investigative program, Dispatches, that these actions never passed off. This disclosure emerges one month ahead of the trial, anticipated to exceed £38m in prices, scheduled to begin in January.

Baroness Lawrence, who maintained her cellphone calls had been intercepted, said: “Jonathan Rees confirmed that he had done more things for the Daily Mail… aimed at secretly stealing information about me and the investigations into Stephen’s murder,” stories the Express.

Mr Rees has refuted these claims, informing Dispatches that although he was approached to undertake such actions, he “didn’t get involved.”

As reported by The Telegraph, when informed that Baroness Lawrence’s witness assertion was “based on your confirmation that you had done the bugging operation.”

Mr Rees responded, “Right, well they’re going to have to rethink that, and their legal team is going to have to re-think that.”

This is not the only setback the impending court case has encountered. Just weeks in the past, another non-public investigator, Gavin Burrows, refuted a witness assertion by Prince Harry‘s authorized team, which allegedly claimed Mr. Burrows had been concerned in hacking and bugging, labeling it as “false.”

Mr. Burrow asserted that his signature was “forged.”

It also comes amid health fears for his spouse, Meghan Markle‘s father, Thomas. The dad-of-three was reportedly rushed to the hospital and later needed to have his leg amputated.

The Duke and Duchess have been estranged from Thomas since 2018, when he was caught posing for paparazzi round the time the pair have been set to get married.

However, in light of her dad’s health scares, Meghan has reportedly despatched a handwritten letter to Thomas.
