Ranking best athlete cameos after Jalen Brunson’s ‘Law & Order SVU’…
One factor I feel we are able to all be confident about: Jalen Brunson just isn’t going to channel 1966 Jim Brown, who determined to retire from soccer somewhat than curtail his time playing Robert Jefferson in “The Dirty Dozen.”
Brown in all probability had a few more years in him if he wished. But he was able to make a transfer from Cleveland to Hollywood. And he did wind up showing in 55 film and tv roles over the next 57 years, to various levels of acclaim/derision.
But I’ll say this: Brunson didn’t embarrass himself together with his 59-second cameo in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” on Thursday night time. He was high quality as Det. Madison, and the episode’s author, Justine Ferrara, made positive to incorporate a few campy in-jokes that ought to have been obvious to Knicks followers who tuned in.
First off, before we even see Jalen, we see his outdated man, Rick, wander into the bar the place Det. Madison is having fun with a pizza. It so occurs Brunson the Elder shares the same title of a suspect Capt. Benson has requested Madison to inquire about. So we acquired this hilarious trade, with further which means for everybody who noticed the historic Rick/Jalen movies that went viral all summer time.
