Ray Knight drops F-bomb during Mets’ broadcast…
Former Mets hero Ray Knight might need forgotten he was on tv.
Knight, who was at Citi Field for the Mets’ reunion of their 1986 World Series championship team, casually dropped an F-bomb while speaking to SNY reporter Steve Gelbs about the camaraderie along with his teammates.
“It’s just we hugged,” Knight said. “I had about four or five guys on the team that gave me a kiss on the cheek and I kissed a couple guys on the cheek. People can think what they want to think, but I don’t give a f–k.”
Knight’s shock profanity triggered ex-Met Daniel Murphy — who was in the SNY broadcast sales space — to let out an prolonged chuckle.
“But I do know one thing, I like going to war with those men,” Knight added.
Knight is best recognized in Queens for taking dwelling World Series MVP for his efforts against the Red Sox, most notably scoring the successful run in Game 6 following Boston first baseman Bill Buckner’s notorious error.
Mookie Wilson — who famously hit the game-winning floor ball past Buckner — was also in attendance for the fortieth anniversary of their championship, and he called the 1986 team “special.”
“The personalities have been so different [and] the cultures have been so different,’’ Wilson said Saturday. “It’s uncommon to search out that many different personalities come together and play in concord. … We discovered a solution to win. We all needed to win.

The Mets honored the squad before their 6-2 loss to the Marlins on Saturday, with those in attendance standing at second base after being launched on the subject.
Members of the championship team also interviewed on the SNY broadcast each before and during the game.
