Ryan Seacrest’s heartbreaking holiday tribute to late
Ryan Seacrest had the holiday spirit in thoughts as he celebrated along with his household, however admitted on social media that it being the first holiday without his father was weighing closely on his thoughts.
The Wheel of Fortune host, 51, announced his father, Gary Seacrest, had handed away on October 31, during an emotional episode of his On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio present, the place he shared he had misplaced a battle with cancer.
Now, just shy of two months after admitting he was heartbroken following his father’s passing, the American Idol host as soon as again paid tribute to his father, as he and his household gathered to rejoice the festive holiday.
Taking to Instagram, Seacrest shared snaps from their get-together, which consisted of his mom, Constance, his sister, Meredith, his brother-in-law, Jimmy, and niece, Flora.
However, as they celebrated together with presents and a festive meal, they also took time to honor their lacking liked one.
“First Christmas without Dad, but holding him close in all the ways we can,” Seacrest captioned the put up.
“We miss you. Merry Heavenly Christmas.”
The put up got here after Seacrest beforehand shared they’d pay tribute to Gary by doing some of the Christmas traditions he liked the most, including consuming and ingesting some of his father’s favorites, and making a toast in his honor.
“We’ll keep our traditions of making a Caesar salad that he always used to love to do,” he said at the time. “[We’ll] pour a little glass of red wine, his favorite, and toast to him.”
“Today, I’m remembering my dad and hero, and everyone who’s worn the uniform. I’ll always be grateful for his service and the example he set,” he wrote. “We miss you. Thank you to all who serve and have served for your strength and sacrifice. Happy #VeteransDay.”
Gary’s dying got here just months after his son announced he was battling prostate cancer. He was 79 when he finally handed.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that my loving father peacefully passed away earlier this week,” he wrote at the time of his father’s dying. “My mom, sister and I have peace knowing he is in a better place and free of any pain or suffering. We are heartbroken.”
“He was a devoted husband for 56 years, an incredible Papa to Flora, and my best friend. Dad you will live in our hearts forever, I love you.”
