Born in Mississippi, Arnold was a founding member, vocalist, and authentic drummer for 3 Doors Down, which soared to fame after their hit debut single “Kryptonite” in 2000.

The news of his dying was shared by way of a public assertion on his band’s Instagram.
“With heavy hearts, we shared the news that Brad Arnold, founder, lead singer, and songwriter of 3 Doors Down, passed away on Saturday, February 7th, at the age of 47,” it read.
The assertion explained Arnold handed away in his sleep, surrounded by family members, including spouse Jennifer.
“The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and kindly asks that their privacy be respected,” it continued. “He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.”
