70s singer with dementia missing after disappearing

An iconic musician from the Nineteen Seventies has been reported missing after disappearing from a care facility in the United States.

Linda Perhacs, celebrated for her groundbreaking contributions to psychedelic people music in the 70s and for her albums The Soul of All Natural Things and Parallelograms, hasn’t been situated or contacted in eight months.

The 82-year-old was launched from a residential care house “under the supervision of her legal guardian”, according to those near her. Her earlier supervisor, Laurel Sterns, alongside mates and fellow artists Julia Holter, Mark McNeill, and Jessica Hundley, posted an attraction on social media searching for any particulars about Perhacs’ whereabouts. It comes as Kacey Musgraves quietly cancels three dates of upcoming ‘Middle of Nowhere’ tour.

The assertion read, “Linda Perhacs fans, we need your help. Linda has gone missing. Legendary singer-songwriter Linda Perhacs was discharged from a residential care facility approximately eight months ago under the supervision of her legal guardian.

“Since then, mates and longtime collaborators have been unable to succeed in her and repeated makes an attempt to contact her guardian have reportedly gone unanswered. If you could have verified info relating to Linda’s wellbeing or current technique of contact, please attain out.”, reports the Express.

McNeill confirmed that a police report has been lodged, and the group has retained an elder abuse lawyer to petition the state.

Perhacs had allegedly resided at the care facility for multiple years prior to her disappearance following a dementia diagnosis.

Hundley informed Rolling Stone, “The intention is to not intrude upon her privateness, however merely to make sure that she is protected and to re-establish communication with somebody whose creative contributions continue to resonate across generations.”

Meanwhile, Stearns shared an appeal with Entertainment Weekly detailing the circumstances surrounding Perhacs’ disappearance and explaining how fans and followers can help.

“Concern is rising among mates, collaborators, and members of the music community relating to the well-being and current whereabouts of acclaimed singer-songwriter Linda Perhacs,” the assertion started.

It went on to clarify that after Perhacs was discharged from the Los Angeles-area care facility, “numerous friends and longtime collaborators report they have been unable to establish direct contact with her. Repeated attempts to communicate with her guardian have also, they say, gone unanswered.”
