Britney Spears checked into rehab by ‘selection’ after

Pop sensation Britney Spears has checked into rehab for substance abuse just a few weeks after her DUI arrest in California, according to experiences.

The 44-year-old chart-topper was arrested in Ventura County on March 4 under suspicion of driving under the affect. Law enforcement stopped her for erratic driving and rushing, noting indicators of impairment as a consequence of a mixture of alcohol and medicines.

Mother-of-two Britney voluntarily admitted herself into a facility someplace in the U.S. a few days in the past, according to a source. Insiders said those near the singer had been “urging her to check herself in and she finally agreed to do so.” This development follows experiences that the singer had dismissed sobriety coaches just weeks previous to her arrest.

An insider said to TMZ, “She realizes she hit rock bottom,” in reference to her pending DUI case. The source added, “She knows strategically this will look good in front of the judge — that she’s taking it seriously.”

Meanwhile, another source has spoken out about her resolution to hunt treatment, saying it’s “her choice.”

“This was her own choice,” they told Page Six. “This isn’t about one substance in particular, it has a dual purpose….this is about Britney putting her mental health first and taking some time for herself to focus on the things that are important to her.”

“She’s dedicated to working on her health. This is something she really wants to do for herself. This was her own decision.” They also claimed the Spears household is also supportive of her resolution, stating, “Everyone just wants Britney to be healthy and in a good place.”
