Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s wedding balanced ‘privateness

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are the latest movie star couple to tie the knot, however they did it in their very own method.

The pop star, 30, and Hollywood actor, 36, who revealed their engagement in January last 12 months, said “I do” at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London on May 31, with only shut pals and family in attendance. The beautiful bride selected a white go well with costume by Schiaparelli couture that was designed by Daniel Roseberry, while her new husband wore a navy blue go well with.

Only eight of Dua’s family members assembled on both facet of the courthouse steps after the wedding, tossing confetti into the air as the newly married couple departed in a black taxi. “As a PR skilled, I see a wider societal shift. When every proposal, trip, and red-carpet look is content, a pair saying, ‘This second is for us,’ is refreshing. Keeping issues simple often generates more optimistic headlines than lavish, orchestrated occasions.

“Research shows consumers, especially younger generations, value authenticity and trust. Edelman’s Trust Barometer finds that people increasingly seek out individuals and brands perceived as genuine and transparent. Celebrities aren’t traditional brands, but public perception operates similarly.”

The PR skilled continued, “The key advantage of a courthouse wedding is narrative control. Couples focus on their commitment rather than on guest lists, designer labels, or costs. A courthouse ceremony reduces security concerns, blocks media intrusion, and prevents private moments from being leaked.”

However, there’s a draw back to having a courthouse wedding. “When public figures share little, others fill in the gaps,” McCormick said.

“Rumors and paparazzi photos can quickly take over the story. From a communications standpoint, it’s usually best to share a small, intentional detail-a photo, a brief statement, or a personal moment- rather than letting others write the narrative.”

The skilled added that Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s courthouse wedding “struck a good balance between privacy and publicity.”

McCormick explained, “The story is intimate, not secretive. Fans got enough to celebrate, while the couple kept ownership of their event.”

Will courthouse weddings among celebrities improve? The specialist said, “I think so. Not because they’re trendy, but because they reflect what audiences now value: authenticity over spectacle and meaningful moments over manufactured ones.”

McCormick concluded, “In today’s media environment, privacy has become a luxury. Courthouse weddings allow celebrities to protect a meaningful life moment while still sharing it on their own terms. That’s not just good PR, it’s good boundaries.”

For her courthouse wedding to Turner, Dua paired her white suit-dress with matching gloves and Christian Louboutin footwear, in addition to an outsized white hat by Stephen Jones.

After their courthouse wedding, Lipa and Turner have been noticed out for the first time together on June 2, taking their canine, Golo, for a stroll.

During their stroll, Turner had his arm wrapped round Lipa, with their fingers interlocked. In a few pictures, the pair gazed into each other’s eyes lovingly.

That day, Lipa shared a number of wedding pictures on Instagram, Facebook, and X with a simple caption, “31.05.2026.”

Now, Dua and Turner are formally kicking off the wedding festivities for his or her second wedding in Italy.

The couple was noticed celebrating at a pre-wedding social gathering in Palermo, Italy, on Friday, June 5. Lipa donned a backless ivory halter in Bottega Veneta’s signature basketweave with a feathered hem and coordinating clutch.

She paired the look with glowing Bulgari jewellery and a watch. Meanwhile, Turner wore a tan go well with and sun shades.

They have been all smiles as they greeted their well-known friends, including Charli XCX, George Daniel, Joe Alwyn, and Grace Gummer.

On Thursday, June 4, Lipa and Turner have been noticed spending time together in the Italian metropolis ahead of their reported wedding ceremony this weekend in Sicily.
