    A US nation music star has shared footage of an unsightly incident at a Melbourne McDonald’s, during which a feminine staffer was allegedly abused and spat at.

    Drew Baldridge, who has been touring Australia with Jelly Roll, praised the actions of two men who stepped in and pinned the alleged assailant to the floor.

    “Wrong country if you want to abuse women,” one in every of the men will be heard saying in the footage.

    In a video posted to his social media channels on Thursday, captioned “Never abuse women,” Baldridge said it was “so inspiring to watch these dudes stand up for this woman.”

    Baldridge said he witnessed the man repeatedly hurl verbal abuse at the staffer.

    “He most likely said it like 5 instances and I used to be beginning to get annoyed.

    “And I used to be like, ‘Bro, you need to calm down. You don’t discuss to women like that.’

    At one point, the man appeared to spit at the younger lady, “just because his order wasn’t right, I don’t know what it was.”

    The 34-year-old said it was at this point other men in the restaurant “came over and said, ‘Hey bro we don’t talk to women like that.’”

    “And before I know it these dudes got this dude on the ground,” he said.

    “And the guys were holding him down, saying, ‘wrong country to abuse women. ’”

    Baldridge said he knew some wouldn’t agree with those strategies, however believed “you gotta know when to fight”.

    “It was just so inspiring to watch these dudes stand up for this woman,” he said.

    “And I believe our nation wants more of that, and numerous people will not be going to speak about this

    And you’re gonna see perhaps like ‘that’s the unsuitable method to do it you shouldn’t fight.’

    “But sometimes you gotta know when to fight.”

    It is unclear precisely when the incident unfolded, however Baldridge performed two exhibits at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on October 28 and 29.

    There have been rising complaints about security in Victoria’s capital in latest instances, with federal opposition chief Sussan Ley calling Melbourne, Australia’s “crime capital” last month.

    Data from Victoria’s Crime Statistics Agency launched in September confirmed 638,640 legal offences have been recorded in the 12 months to the end of June – 15.7 per cent.

    The footage shared by Baldridge has been widely shared on-line, drawing more than 100,000 views on a number of X accounts.

    People have also applauded the actions of the two men, with one fan writing on Instagram “What you experienced then mate was real Australian men.”

    “Those are real men, I’m proud of them,” another said.

    On Facebook, one lady thanked the musician for highlighting violence against women.

    “As a DV survivor, it’s vitally important that men understand it’s not okay to ever raise a hand to a woman, spit on a woman, or disrespect a woman in any way,” she wrote.

    In ending his video Baldridge quoted lyrics from his new tune Rebel, saying the incident reminded him of what the tune was about.

    “If the whole world wants to dance with the devil, I guess you could call me a rebel,” he said, quoting the tune.

    “And those guys, they were real rebels.”
