Dilbert creator Scott Adams dies at 68 after Trump

Disgraced Dilbert creator Scott Adams has died at the age of 68 years previous following a battle with prostate cancer.

Adams’ ex-wife, Shelly Miles, confirmed the news of his dying during a January 13 episode of his Coffee with Scott Adams livestream. The New York native announced in May of 2025 that he had prostate cancer, noting it had unfold to his bones.

This update comes shortly after President Donald Trump immediately responded to the cartoonist’s plea for assist after he requested help securing treatment with the focused radiotherapy drug Pluvicto. This got here after Adams shared that there was an “essentially zero” of him recovering from the type of prostate cancer he was battling.

In his preliminary X (previously Twitter) submit, the cartoonist wrote to Trump, “On Monday, I will ask President Trump, via X, to help save my life. He offered to help me if I needed it. I need it. As many of you know, I have metastasized prostate cancer.”

He continued, “My healthcare provider, Kaiser of Northern California, has approved my application to receive a newly FDA-approved drug called Pluvicto. But they have dropped the ball in scheduling the brief IV to administer it and I can’t seem to fix that.”

Adams concluded the submit, “I am declining fast. I will ask President Trump if he can get Kaiser of Northern California to respond and schedule it for Monday. That will give me a fighting chance to stick around on this planet a little bit longer. It is not a cure, but it does give good results to many people.”

Whether or not Trump secured this is unclear, however he did promise to take action, publicly replying to the cartoonist, “On it.”

Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also replied to Scott’s submit on social media and said, “The President wants to help.”

Just minutes after the news of Adam’s dying was announced, President Trump took to Truth Social writing a tribute submit in his honor. He penned, “Sadly, the Great Influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away. He was a fantastic guy, who liked and respected me when it wasn’t fashionable to do so.”

Trump continued, “He bravely fought a long battle against a terrible disease. My condolences go out to his family, and all of his many friends and listeners. He will be truly missed. God bless you Scott!”

Adams was an American cartoonist best recognized for his work on the sketch Dilbert, which was first revealed on April 16, 1989. The well-known cartoon is thought for its satirical workplace jokes about white-collar, micromanaged work dynamics, and adopted the main character of Dilbert.

Dilbert was later discontinued after Adams was hit with fierce backlas after he referred to Black people as a “hate group” and suggested white people to “get the hell away” from them during a YouTube livestream.
