Alan Taylor is gearing up for his retirement present amid his health battle as he turns 67.

The nation music icon‘s 67th birthday is Friday, October 17. Alan is about to have his final present in his music profession next yr. He is having his last concert in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Nissan Stadium on June 27, 2026. The present is called The Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale, and the celebratory event will see many major nation stars becoming a member of him on stage, including Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, and Lee Ann Womack.

Recently, Alan announced on Instagram on Wednesday, October 15, that the final present was formally offered out. He wrote that he was proud and overwhelmed by the response from my followers,” before apologizing that “there weren’t sufficient seats for everyone who wished one.” The singer added, “I recognize all the people who’ve come to my exhibits and supported me over the years.”

During his last concert on his Last Call: One More for the Road in May, he confirmed to the viewers that he was “winding down” and teased that his final event would be in Nashville. He stated to the crowd at Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Fiserv Forum, “I just felt like I needed to end all of it the place it began, and that’s in Nashville, Tennessee. I’ve obtained to do my last one there. But this is the last one out on the highway for me.”

In a video shared on his social media in May 2024, Alan said his Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease had been making it harder for him to perform, and he thought it was “getting time to start pondering about hanging it up full-time.” He elaborated that his illness, which affects his legs, arms, as well as mobility, was “getting worse” and making him “more uncomfortable on stage.”

The Livin’ on Love shared that he was diagnosed with the rare neuropathic and neurological disorder ten years ago, at the time. Alan also stated that the disease is genetic and that he inherited it from his father. He explained how CMT has been affecting him for years, but it’s been getting more “apparent.”

“It’s getting more and more apparent,” Alan had said. “And I do know I’m stumbling round onstage. And now I’m having a little bit hassle balancing, even in entrance of the microphone, and so I just really feel very uncomfortable.”

Alan had reassured in the interview that CMT was “not going to kill me. It’s not lethal,” but also noted that there was no cure for the disease.

According to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, CMT is a disease that affects the peripheral nerves, which extend from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body. Peripheral nerves are in charge of movement, sensation, hearing, organ function, and more. The disorder is named after the doctors Jean Martin Charcot, Pierre Marie, and Howard Henry Tooth, who discovered it in 1886.

The website further said the illness is also a neuromuscular disease and broke up the world as “neuro” referencing “nerves” and muscular referring to “CMT’s influence on skeletal muscle, such as weak spot and atrophy.” The illness causes muscle weakness, atrophy, and sensory loss, especially in the arms, hands, legs, and feet. The Association added that in some cases of CMT it can affect autonomic nerves, which are nerves that control bodily functions such as breathing and heartbeat.

A dollar from each ticket sold for Last Call: One More for the Road—The Finale shall be donated to the CMT Research Foundation. The basis invests in research to discover remedies and cures for CMT.
