Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem seems to be very triggered by the politically-charged comments made by artists, including Billie Eilish and Bad Bunny, at the 2026 Grammys.

Certain Grammy acceptance speeches on Sunday evening included both a hit out at ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), or a refined dig at America’s authorities management. ICE has been under hearth since a federal agent shot and killed Renee Good in Minnesota in early January, with the incident sparking ongoing anti-immigration protests that have revved up since the homicide of Minnesota demonstrator Alex Pretti by ICE brokers. 

The White House official, 54, appeared decided to defend the Trump administration as she blasted the 2026 Grammys celebrities, seemingly sparing nobody, not even the newly awarded winner, Jelly Roll. 

When the nation singer took to the stage to simply accept his Grammy for Best Contemporary Country Album, he said in a part of his speech, “Jesus is not owned by one political party. Jesus is not owned by no music label. Jesus is Jesus and anybody can have a relationship with Him. I love you, Lord.”

Jelly Roll was branded “MAGA” by some viewers for his passionate speech as he didn’t condemn ICE, later saying he would not do politics because he is a “dumb redneck.”

“I want they knew what great, wonderful people our ICE officers are. Many of these officers live in these communities the place they’re doing enforcement actions,” Kristi told Fox News Digital. 

She added, “Their households live there and that’s their neighbors they’re defending by getting harmful criminals off the streets. They are going after those murderers and rapists, people that are trafficking medication, and defending America. That is what President Trump said he would do, he said he would make us safer, and he has accomplished that.”

Toward the end of her tirade, she insisted that it was unfair for “ill-informed well-known musicians” to make certain statements. 

“We have reached historic lows in crime rates in this country, the lowest rate of murder and crime since we have been recording it for over 100 years. So it’s real results, people are feeling it in their communities, and it’s too bad that ill-informed famous musicians make statements like that without truly knowing what great Americans our ICE and Border Patrol officers are,” Kristi continued. 

Presumably Jelly Roll was not one in every of the musicians Noem was referring to after he stayed shtum on the nation’s immigration insurance policies and after she had beforehand labeled him a “friend.”
