    One of the greatest subjects at the San Francisco 49ers’ training camp has been the speedy variety of injuries on the roster.

    Despite a rising variety of gamers on the injury report, coach Kyle Shanahan didn’t appear too involved about it.

    “It feels pretty normal, give or take three,” Shanahan said. “I think it does happen a number of times in camp. We also have a number of guys that didn’t go on [the Physically Unable to Perform list] that we weren’t trying to throw back in there right away.”

    Shanahan said these sorts of issues are always irritating during camp. He talked about third-year veteran vast receiver Ricky Pearsall, who will miss the 2026 season after having knee surgical procedure.

    “The thing that frustrates you most is when you lose a guy,” Shanahan said of Pearsall. “There’s one guy like that right now … and you gotta learn how to adjust and move on.”

    Since 2014, the 49ers have ranked as one in all the most injured franchises in soccer and are already turning into one in all the most injured groups in training camp.

    Since the team reported to camp on July 26, they’ve logged 19 gamers on the injured checklist; 4 of them are from the vast receiver room. Lucrative free-agent signing Mike Evans, rookie De’Zhaun Stribling and veteran Christian Kirk joined Pearsall on the IL.

    Two of the 19 gamers the team has listed embody George Kittle and Nick Bosa, who each had their seasons abruptly end last yr resulting from injury.

    Kittle ruptured his Achilles during last yr’s wild-card game against the Philadelphia Eagles and has been seen working his means again to the soccer discipline during the offseason. Bosa is working his means again from a torn ACL he suffered in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals.

    Bosa hoped to apply with the team when training camp began however has not been in a position to take part.

    “He was doing great, and then he got sore, just going through some of the individuals. I mean, you wish that didn’t happen,” Shanahan said. “… There’s no concern to where something’s happened that was a big setback or anything, but we’re waiting for that soreness to go away and evaluate him on why that soreness happened.”
