Madonna details ‘near-death experience’ after falling

Being the Queen of Pop might not always be as easy as Madonna often makes it appear. On an episode of Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, the 67-year-old pop famous person shared the near-death experience she had in 2023.

She recalled how she contracted a bacterial infection while rehearsing for her Celebration tour. “One minute, I was alive and dancing around, and the next minute, I was in the [intensive care] unit of a hospital, and I woke up from being unconscious for four days,” she said.

After she was taken off the ventilator and despatched house, she developed sepsis, which is often lethal.

“It can kill you,” she explained. Sepsis is an excessive response to the presence of dangerous microorganisms in the blood or other tissues, resulting in the physique shutting down.

The singer was surprised by how rapidly her health diminished. “I had no strength,” she recalled. “I had no energy.”

The next interval of her life, thus, was devoted to therapeutic from the inside out.

“I used to talk to my teacher all the time and he was like, ‘The sooner you accept what’s happening to you and that you don’t know when it’s going to end, the sooner it’s going to end,'” she said.

In late June that 12 months, Madonna’s supervisor, Guy Oseary, said that the singer had “developed a serious bacterial infection, which led to a several-day stay in the ICU.”

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care,” Oseary shared at the time. “A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

The Celebration tour was anticipated to cowl all facets of Madonna’s prolific profession, and was slated to start in Vancouver in July 15.
