Floyd Mayweather has announced his skilled boxing retirement U-turn ahead of combating Mike Tyson in a fantasy exhibition matchup. Mayweather, 48, will tackle Heavyweight legend Tyson, 59, in an exhibition fight in April.
However, following his fantasy fight with Tyson, the 50-0 Mayweather intends to return to skilled boxing this summer time, with an opponent yet to be announced. This shall be Mayweather’s fourth retirement U-turn, after 2007, 2015, and, most not too long ago, 2017, after a fight with Conor McGregor.
“I still have what it takes to set more records in the sport of boxing — from my upcoming Mike Tyson event to my next professional fight afterwards — no one will generate a bigger gate, have a larger global broadcast audience, and generate more money with each event — than my events,” said Mayweather.
