Meghan Markle’s pal speaks out after ‘awkward trade’

Meghan Markle’s buddy has spoken out following stories they shared an “awkward encounter” during an event at a bookstore.

The Duchess of Sussex stunned followers as she joined Courtney Adamo at Godmothers bookstore in Summerland, California, to have a good time the launch of her pal’s new e-book.

During their time onstage, followers noticed an ungainly second between the pair as Meghan appeared to regulate her buddy’s microphone. Many branded this transfer as “rude,” nevertheless it appears Courtney wasn’t bothered as she later thanked Meghan for becoming a member of her at the event.

Taking to instagram to share some snaps from the event, Courtney wrote, “This was such an exciting career highlight for me to sit up on stage in the beautiful Godmothers Bookstore, in front of the most engaged and smiling audience, to share about our new book and to answer questions about how we can create a home for our family that is filled with joy and intention.

“Thank you to @godmothersbooks for internet hosting and to my longtime buddy @meghan for becoming a member of and supporting me. I hardly slept last night time from all the pleasure!”

Fans were loving the pictures, with one person commenting, “Congratulations Courtney!! I also did a double take once I noticed the image. Great to have your folks supporting you :)”

Someone else shared, “Thank you Courtney for sharing with us about your property. Very very intentional! Loved ur dialog with Meghan and Victoria…. Meghan actually has nice pals who’re a mainstay in her life..it was nice to be launched to you. Makes sense why you might be still pals. Now let me ho purchase e-book.”

“Yes! What an superior buddy to do this,” a third person added as they praised Meghan.

Courtney’s post comes after Meghan’s awkward move at the bookstore event.

While the two women spoke on stage, Meghan grabbed Courtney’s arm and pushed the microphone closer to Courtney’s mouth as she joked, “I may maintain it [the microphone] for you.”

Following Meghan’s interference, Courtney admitted, “This makes me so nervous.” Meghan then giggled as she put her arm around her friend.

People flocked to X to share their thoughts on the incident, with one person asking, “Awkward second Meghan Markle interrupts bookstore talking event to appropriate how her buddy holds the microphone. Is she making an attempt to be over sensible?”
