Mets hiring Troy Snitker as hitting coach as they rebuild staff…
The Mets have added an important piece to their revamped teaching staff.
The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed the team has employed Troy Snitker as its hitting coach for the 2025 season after firing Eric Chavez and Jeremy Barnes, each of whom shared the position last season.
Snitker will work under Jeff Albert, who was promoted to run the major league team’s hitting program after beforehand overseeing it in the minors.
Mets supervisor Carlos Mendoza stored his job after lacking the playoffs, however most of his staff was let go shortly after the season.
