Billy Amick has already made a reputation for himself.
The Mets prospect has continued his tear in Double-A since becoming a member of the Mets group, hitting his fifth dwelling run in seven games in the Rumble Ponies’ 4-3 win over the Hartford Yard Goats on Sunday.
The infielder joined the Mets group on July 31 when he was acquired as a part of the deal that despatched pitcher A.J. Minter to the Twins.
His three-run blast on Sunday got here in the sixth inning and broke a 1-1 tie that put the Rumble Ponies up 4-1 at the time. He also has 13 RBIs for the Rumble Ponies.

The dwelling run hit by the man they name “Billy Barrels” went far over the wall in left area and he now has 28 dwelling runs at the Double-A level in 2026.
“It was a fun week for sure. Everybody was getting on base and we were all having good at-bats,” Amick said while being interviewed on the area after the game. “Everything kind of came together. Ended up with six wins, so that’s all you can ask for.”
Amick was given not one however two postgame Gatorade showers in celebration of his dwelling run.
