The brother of Baltimore Ravens star Calais Campbell was charged with homicide after their mom was found dead inside her Atlanta dwelling.
Nateal Campbell, 71, was pronounced dead inside her townhouse in the upscale neighborhood of Buckhead, Ga., when police found her unresponsive during a welfare test on Tuesday afternoon, according to WSB-TV.
“We are devastated to share that the Campbell Family has lost its matriarch, Mrs. Nateal Campbell,” the household said, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
“While the details of her passing are still being investigated, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with our father, her beloved Chuck, and in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Relatives have been fearful about the septuagenarian and called for officers to the home on the 3500 block of Roswell Rd NW just after 12:30 p.m., Atlanta Police officers said.
