MTV’s ‘Ridiculousness’ with Rob Dyrdek canceled after 46 seasons…

MTV has canceled Rob Dyrdek’s long-running comedy clip collection “Ridiculousness” after a formidable 14 years and 46 seasons, The Post can verify.
“No more original episodes of ‘Ridiculousness’ will be produced,” sources acquainted with the resolution told The Post on Friday.

“As the company works to reimagine MTV for the future, the channel will feature a more curated slate that embraces its experimental DNA – exploring fresh formats, different creative voices, and refreshed programming,” they shared.
However, the insiders added that new and beforehand produced first-run episodes will continue to air on the Paramount-owned network by next 12 months.
Prior seasons of all produced episodes will also continue to air on MTV, and choose seasons will continue to stream on Paramount+.

“Ridiculousness” premiered on MTV in August 2011.
Dydrek, 51, has hosted the collection since its inception, and he was often joined by acquainted co-hosts like Sterling “Steelo” Brim and Lauren “Lolo” Wood. TV character Chanel West Coast, 37, appeared on the well-liked comedy collection from its debut in 2011 until her departure in 2023.
“Ridiculousness” has more than 1,700 episodes and was one among MTV’s longest-running reveals in the network’s historical past.

Reruns of the program have dominated MTV’s broadcast schedule for years, particularly after the network pulled again its authentic and music-oriented content.
On Thursday, just sooner or later before the cancellation news was announced, Bloomberg reported that MTV was paying the former professional skateboarder upwards of $32 million per 12 months.
Dyrdek’s huge paycheck included bonuses, a $21,000-per-episode govt producer payment and a $61,000-per-episode on-camera payment, according to the outlet.
“Ridiculousness” premiered on MTV in August 2011.
The former athlete-turned-host has been with MTV since beginning his actuality TV profession with “Rob & Big” in 2006, adopted by “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory” in 2009.
“’Rob & Big’ aired when I was 32 years old,” Dyrdek said on the “Trading Secrets” in 2021, per Us Weekly. “I was looking at it as a platform. I then saw what I got from the platform. I knew how bad they wanted me to do a show.”
After making an estimated $35,000 per episode of “Rob & Big,” MTV reportedly supplied him $125,000 to supply a fourth season or create a new present.

“I would only do the show if I owned the integration. There was a little pushback starting to happen, so they gave me my integration,” he said of “Fantasy Factory” at the time. “Now, I sold deals to Chevy, Microsoft. I sold all my own deals that I wrote episodes around for the television show.”
“I was making millions because I owned the platform,” Dyrdek added.
Two years after creating “Fantasy Factory,” the actuality star and MTV launched “Ridiculousness.”

“I’ve built all these systems to allow my entire life to be this entire machine,” he explained again in 2021. “I shoot 250 episodes of television a year.”
“I live a perfectly balanced life, where I spend 32 percent of my time sleeping, 32 percent of the time working, and about 30 percent with my family, wife, and friends,” he added.
Dyrdek married mannequin Bryiana Flores in 2015. The couple has since welcomed two children: son Kodah Dash, 8, and daughter Nala Ryan Dyrdek, 7.
