In honor of Back-To-School SZN, we’re celebrating the baddest (and brightest) trainer baes who enrich younger minds as the most underpaid, underfunded, and unappreciated professionals in the nation.
Blessed with extraordinary ranges of persistence and understanding, these selfless stunners deserve all of the flowers, apples, on-line love, and reward as dynamic difference-makers in the classroom.
Without wonderful academics being real-life superheroes, we wouldn’t have gifted creatives like Felicia Pride as the Creator, Showrunner, and Executive Producer of the extremely anticipated A Different World sequel collection on Netflix.
Devoted to telling resonant tales of the often neglected, the famed author, producer, director, and founder continues to thrive in media and leisure with the premiere of the buzziest Black-led collection of the 12 months steadily approaching.
“Y’all! I am still over here processing,” she wrote in a lengthly Instagram put up. “Still. Like I’d never have thought in my WILDEST desires. A DIFFERENT WORLD helped raised me actually. When Mommy and I moved again to Baltimore, just us, after college, while she was working, I’d watch my fav episodes (that I recorded on VHS). The college students at Hillman have been my mates while I used to be making an attempt to make some. They taught me find out how to be okay with being myself, find out how to excel, forgive, apologize, oh and find out how to step! Forever indebted.
So a lot gratitude to the ICON Debbie Allen, who called me and introduced me into this project understanding I may do it before I did. Thanks to our companions at Netflix and our EP team.
