Gary, 28, has two years remaining on the four-year, $96 million extension he signed in 2023, and carries a $28 million cap hit in 2026 and $31 million in 2027.
The Packers would save $11 million in salary-cap area by reducing or buying and selling him before June 1 and $19.5 million by designating him as a post-June 1 release or commerce, per Over the Cap.
Gary tallied 46 1/2 sacks across his seven seasons with the team after being chosen with the No. 12 choose in the 2019 NFL Draft.
