Prince and Michael Jackson’s feud exposed by

Grammy-winning DJ Mark Ronson as soon as discovered himself in the center of Prince and Michael’s rumored feud.

Mark, 50, recalled in his memoir Night People: How to Be a DJ in ’90s New York City, an incident between Prince and Michael, who had tensions at the time. Back then, Mark had joined his rap star pal Q-Tip, 55, at New York City’s exclusive Spy Bar, the place he was deejaying for Prince, who died at 57 in 2016.

Sometime during the night, Mark was about to place Michael’s 1979 album Off the Wall on until he was instantly stopped from doing so.

“Uh‑uh. Can’t play Michael here,” Q-Tip informed Mark, noting the ongoing feud between the two legends.

After being told what to not do, he went on to play War’s 1977 document, Galaxy, instead, incomes a “withering look from Prince.” Mark wrote that the second it was “nothing like rhythmic judgment from a musical deity.”

Mark explained in his e-book that the drama involving Michael, who first died in 2009, and Prince dated again to a 1983 James Brown live performance at the Beverly Theater in Los Angeles.

For that performance, the Thriller crooner had joined the late Godfather of Soul on stage to carry out It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World. After inviting Michael to carry out with him, James requested Prince to come back up and be part of them, following M.J.’s electrical dance strikes.

Although the Purple Rain singer tried to take over the performance with a shirtless guitar solo, his second hit a hiccup when he began “swinging from a 10-foot stage prop before appearing to fall offstage.”

In his e-book, Mark commented that he “imagined the rivalry ran deep” when he remarked on the performance, which was reportedly the only time Prince and Michael have been on stage together.
