Scary moment Wilder vs Chisora almost spills into

Deontay Wilder’s fight with retiring Derek Chisora narrowly prevented a scary moment as the bout almost spilled over the top rope in a frantic opening round. Wilder, 40, is taking over Chisora, 42, in the Brit’s farewell fight inside London’s O2 Arena.

It’s the former longtime heavyweight world champion’s first fight since shedding to Chinese big Zhilei Zhang in June 2024. Both Wilder and Chisora have cast careers as some of the heavyweight division’s largest hitters, and the first round did not disappoint, with each going for broke to score an early end.

However, the fight narrowly prevented a scary scenario, as Wilder and Chisora traded blows on the ropes and almost spilled into the crowd watching below. Wilder’s return to the squared circle after just shy of two years’ absence comes after the American accused ex-rival, Tyson Fury, with whom he loved a blockbuster trilogy, of dishonest. The Bronze Bomber appeared to never shake off the two consecutive world title defeats against the Gypsy King, which noticed him lose two of his next 4 fights.

Speaking to the Ring Magazine, Wilder said: “I’m telling you what I know. You’re only seeing what you saw — he didn’t win nothing, they gave it to him. I can’t think of our third fight, but in two of them, he definitely cheated.

“I’ve got proof and evidence of that. When I do my documentary and movie about it, it’s going to be presented. I’m going to bring the people, and the artifacts, I know.”

Wilder then steered that Fury “can’t come back to America”, before including: “The man cheated. He’s the biggest cheater in boxing history. If I’m lying, then please tell him to sue me for defamation of character so that I have the proof. I can’t wait.”

Wilder also induced a choke-worthy moment in his interview with Morgan when recounting a weird, intimate story with the mom of his little one. Wilder left Morgan shocked after claiming his ex ‘stole’ his sperm to conceive their daughter.

The American, a father of seven, alleged that his daughter Naieya’s mother “set him up” to get pregnant “because I was the best thing that ever came into her life.”

“Her mother tried to set me up to have the baby. She injected my sperm in her and ran into the bathroom and locked the door and that’s how we had her,” Wilder claimed in a jaw-dropping moment. “And fact be told, she do not even know I do know this, however I’m telling it to the world…”

He continued: “When we was having s–… after I c—, I used to c— on her abdomen. I used to fold my tower properly by the mattress because I’d wish to wipe it off of her abdomen.

“This particular time, she chose that she wanted to have a baby by me because I was the best thing that ever came into her life.”
