Ray Knight is like loads of Mets followers — he’s stopped watching the games.
“I started early this year following them and was intending to follow them, and then they were playing so badly that I just quit watching it,” the former Mets third baseman told Sports+ this week. “I was feeling badly for them, and it wasn’t making me real happy watching them play so poorly.”
These last-place Mets are a distinction to Knight’s tenure in Queens, which culminated with the team successful the World Series in 1986.
