Hollywood legend Joan Crawford, celebrated for her iconic performances in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane and Mildred Pierce, famously excluded her two oldest youngsters from her will.

The memoir portrayed Crawford as a domineering alcoholic who bodily disciplined her youngsters for misbehavior. This controversial account subsequently served as the foundation for a 1981 movie adaptation starring Faye Dunaway.
The publication drew sharp condemnation, particularly from twins Cathy and Cindy, who maintained that they had never endured any mistreatment from their deceased mom.
However, Christina and Christopher’s troubled dynamic with Crawford turned unmistakably obvious via her final testomony.
Crawford allegedly bequeathed Cathy and Cindy $77,500 apiece (roughly $380,000/ £300,000 in current worth) from her $2million fortune, yet her eldest offspring obtained nothing.
The actress tersely said in her will: “It is my intention to make no provision herein for my son, Christopher, or my daughter, Christina, for reasons which are well known to them.”
Currently, Christina stays Crawford’s sole dwelling inheritor, following Christopher’s loss of life in 2006, Cindy’s in 2007 and Cathy’s in 2020.
