Spain’s World Cup hero Ferran Torres has revealed why he donned a pink “Make Spain Great Again” cap at his team’s homecoming parade – insisting his determination was not about politics.
“It was a funny moment,” Barcelona attacker Torres, 26, told CNN’s Chief White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins Monday night time as he mirrored on his determination to put on the Donald Trump-inspired baseball cap.
“It was not about politics because truthfully, I don’t know about politics.

“It was just to be able to see Spain on the top, winning the World Cup. It was just to have fun with my friends, with my family and nothing about politics.”
Torres, who scored Spain’s aim to clinch the European nation’s second World Cup in last month’s final at MetLife Stadium, told NBC’s “Today” present earlier Monday he had watched his aim round a thousand instances.
The Spaniard’s determination to don the Trump-inspired cap didn’t go unnoticed by the commander-in-chief.

A shirtless Torres was seen donning the cap on an open top bus while Spain followers reveled in the team’s success over Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
