Andrew stripped of titles but there’s 1 thing Queen
King Charles has formally stripped his brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, of all his Royal titles this week and evicted him from his Royal Lodge residence.
The 76-year-old monarch reportedly desires Andrew utterly faraway from the Royal circle, as the former prince has been a distraction to the monarchy’s work.
However, while King Charles could not have hesitated in making such a decisive transfer, one Royal knowledgeable believes it is one thing the late Queen Elizabeth II could not have executed because of her shut relationship with Andrew, who was allegedly her “favorite child”.
In an exclusive interview with (*1*)Express.co.uk, Royal commentator Afua Hagan acknowledged that King Charles did the “right thing” by formally eradicating Andrew’s titles.
She also expressed it is a “shame” that the late Queen did not take this action during her reign when scandals surrounding Andrew and his past friendship with the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein first surfaced.
Hagan continued: “I don’t believe the late Queen would have made such a move; I think she had the opportunity to do so but didn’t, which is truly regrettable.”
Andrew has been out of the public eye since the stunning announcement from Buckingham Palace last Thursday.
He is reportedly sustaining a low profile at his Royal Lodge residence, which he’s anticipated to vacate in the coming months.
Instead, he can be relocating to a property on the King’s non-public Sandringham property.
