Britney Spears’ Iranian ex Sam Asghari reacts to
Britney Spears’ former husband has shared his perspective on the joint United States and Israel army operation against Iran that occurred on Saturday, February 28.
The Traitors US star described Khamenei’s demise as “well deserved,” characterizing the regime in his native nation as “brutal.”
“I’m always grateful for America, and I’ve always been a proud American – just because everything I have is because of America,” Sam acknowledged, also thanking “the soldiers and the military of the United States.”
The Hot Seat actor reiterated that the Iranian chief’s demise was “well deserved,” expressing hope to “see a peaceful Middle East” going ahead, reviews the Mirror US.
The pop icon’s ex-husband added, “He deserved a lot more than death because he’s caused so much chaos around the world,” citing American casualties and Iranian civilian deaths as examples.
Sam indicated he felt the “brutal” regime “had to go at any cost because they’ve caused so much chaos in the Middle East.”
Whilst supporting the strikes that eradicated Khamenei, he clarified, “War is absolutely not great, and I want nothing but peace for this world.”
He concluded, “Iranian people are completely different from the government. Hopefully, the Iranian people are able to get their freedom and get their country back. So, I just hope less and less casualties of civilians. Nobody deserves death, and hopefully that happens.
“I’m lucky to have grown up between two extraordinarily different cultures,” Sam told Men’s Health back in 2021. “We moved right here to live right here, to communicate the language, to contribute to this nation.”
Toward the end of January, the Jackpot! star made an appearance at a pro-freedom rally for Iran in Los Angeles, posting footage of himself at the demonstration on Instagram.
Sam and Britney first crossed paths in 2016 on the set of the music video for her track Slumber Party. Rumors about their relationship started as early as November 2016, before the exes made it Instagram official in January 2017.
The couple ended up tying the knot in June 2022. Rumblings of trouble in paradise started circulating in March 2023. Just over a year later, he filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable variations.”
