Fox News fans accuse Karoline Leavitt of ‘defending war

Karoline Leavitt is going through backlash from Fox News viewers after seemingly defending Donald Trump’s latest threats to unleash war crimes on Iranian infrastructure.

During the latest White House press briefing, a reporter pressed Leavitt on Trump’s remarks, asking, “The president said we might blow up and completely obliterate all of their generating electric plants, oil wells, Kharg island, and possibly all desalination plants. Under international law, striking infrastructure is generally prohibited. Why is the president advocating potentially a war crime, and how do you square that with the US saying it does not target civilians?”

“Their best move is to make a deal, or else the United States armed forces have capabilities beyond their wildest imagination,” she responded. The reporter adopted up again, asking, “Including potential war crimes?” as soon as again on the lookout for Leavitt to denounce Trump’s alarming statements shared to Truth Social.

“With respect to achieving the full objectives, the president is going to move forward,” Leavitt replied.

The trade shortly drew criticism on-line. One individual wrote, “Karoline Leavitt’s job now is to justify Donald Trump’s regime committing war crimes every day. How does she sleep at night?”

Another said, “I’d be fascinated by anyone who’d hire this woman after all of this is over. A known liar, who doesn’t even flinch whilst lying. What could you possibly trust her with? To lie for you? Who’d believe her? Your clients? Nah.”

A 3rd individual wrote, “A 28-year-old Florida sorority girl is at the White House podium justifying the destruction of desalination plants in a country the United States attacked without provocation in the middle of negotiations. This is not a serious country.”

“Leavitt Lies, every. single. time,” another wrote, with a fifth including, “Attacking a peaceful country and assassinating its leaders is not only a war crime, it’s terrorism.”

The backlash comes after Trump threatened to “blow up and completely obliterate” Iranian infrastructures in a March 30 assertion.

“The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran,” Trump said in a publish on Truth Social.

“Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately ‘Open for Business,’ we will conclude our lovely ‘stay’ in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet ‘touched.’”

His comments come as the Iran war enters its fifth week and as the Trump administration weighs sending in floor forces to grab Kharg Island, a major gas hub that serves as a centerpiece of Iran’s oil business.
