Fox News’ Jesse Watters branded ‘pathetic’ after

Fox News broadcaster Jesse Watters was hit with a firestorm of hate on-line after delivering a misogynistic comment during a latest news broadcast.

During a Wednesday, April 1 Fox News’ The Five, the 47-year-old journalist said that he doesn’t imagine that there may be going to be a lady U.S. president within his lifetime, and that he doesn’t suppose that women have the “emotional maturity” or “sense of humor” to carry the place.

This, in fact, was met with fierce backlash on-line, as women maintain many positions of energy in 2026, including Kamala Harris, who beforehand served as Vice President of the United States. Many viewers at residence had been upset by his rant and have since taken to social media, branding him a “repulsive little man” and a “bobbleheaded fool.”

This comes as during the broadcast, he said, “Well, Nancy says there will not be a female president in her lifetime, and I say, ‘Thank God.’ I hope there’s not a female president in my lifetime.”

Watter’s fellow co-host Jessica Tarlov was visibly irritated by the comment and requested, “Why would you say that?”

Watters then replied, “You know what many people are saying, Jessica? Many people are saying do women have the –“

He was then lower off by his fellow co-host Greg Gutfeld, who said, “You are just jumping off a cliff just because you’re bored.”

And Watters continued this sentence, “– emotional maturity to be president?” To which Gutfeld repeated, “You are just bored.”

Watters then went on to ask, “Many people are saying, do they have the personal contacts in the business world to manage the economy? Many people are saying, Greg, do women have the respect of the generals?”

Gutfeld then questioned, “Who said that?” And Watters explained, “Many people are saying women don’t have the sense of humor to be president. I’ve heard that from a lot of people. None of those things, I believe. But I believe Gavin Newsom could be the first woman president. Because when I hear him talk, he sounds like a woman. The kind of emotional instability, you don’t know whether he’s having a midlife crisis, an identity crisis, a crisis of confidence.”

In the aftermath of his controversial remarks, Watters continued to face backlash on-line with the clip circulating on Bluesky. One critic posted, “The most punchable person on TV.”

Another added, “What a pathetic, insecure manbaby.”

While a 3rd wrote, “I don’t think this guy has ever said anything that doesn’t reek of insecurity and fear of anyone who isn’t a white male.”

And another person requested, “So the generals of our military wouldn’t listen to a female president? Does this dumbass think there are no female generals or admirals in our military?”

While another condemned Jessica’s response as they added, “That the women sitting with him when he spoke this did not walk out. Shame.”
