Brady Cook getting another chance to start in Jets’ season finale…
Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Wednesday that undrafted rookie free agent quarterback Brady Cook will continue to start Sunday when the team performs at Buffalo.
Glenn reiterated that Cook, who’s thrown seven interceptions and only one landing in his three-plus games, “give us the best chance to win’’ despite the fact that veteran Tyrod Taylor is healthy and again with the team after lacking some time for private causes.
Asked if he’s seen sufficient of Cook to consider he’d be a dependable backup in 2026, Glenn was noncommittal.
“I would love to take a look at that at the end of the season,’’ he said. “He still has another game left, so we’ll see what occurs with this game and see how he operates.’’

“We’re going to Buffalo and I look ahead to placing an excellent product out on the discipline and balling out with these guys one last game this yr,’’ he said. “I’ve realized lots from a quarterback perspective, from a pacesetter perspective being on this team and beginning games for the first time and I’ve realized that it’s still soccer.
“It’s the game that we’ve performed our complete life. It’s a children’ game, it’s a sophisticated one, it’s imperfect, nevertheless it’s the game we love and also you still have to have enjoyable doing it, and that’s sort of the message this week is let’s go have enjoyable.
“Let’s go have enjoyable playing soccer and let’s execute, and let’s go see what we are able to do this last game.’’
Among the large group of gamers who didn’t observe Wednesday was RB Breece Hall, who rushed for 107 yards last week and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his profession.
Hall had his knee banged in last week’s game, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him sit on now that he’s reached that important milestone.
“It’s his knee,’’ Glenn said. “He just banged it. We’ll know throughout this week if he’ll have the opportunity to play.’’
The other gamers who didn’t observe included TE Mason Taylor, OL Xavier Newman, RB Isaiah Davis (concussion), CB Qwan’tez Stiggers, DE Micheal Clemons, and G Joe Tippmann.
“We’ll see how the week goes and see how they function,’’ Glenn said.
Glenn was requested if, at 3-13 and the team being blown out regularly, he’s involved about his job safety and what his “mindset’’ is coming into this season finale.
“How do I beat the Bills,’’ Glenn said tersely. “That’s what I’m pondering about. That’s it.’’
